Children's Garden Opens
Your children can learn to appreciate the environment in a fun way at the Children's Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Kids can search for wildlife in a swamp or pretend to be a riverboat captain on the Mississippi River. Tickets to the Children's Garden are $3 for Garden members ages 3-12 and $5 for non-members. Adults and children 13 and older get in free.

Breakfast with the Bunny
The Easter Bunny will hop into the St. Louis Zoo to have breakfast with local children this month. The event also includes photos and treat bags for the kids, and free parking for parents. The cost is $22 for adults and $20 for children. Zoo members get a $2 discount. There are seatings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Advanced reservations are required.

Cavalia
Cavalia is coming to St. Louis. The equestrian show combines performing arts, acrobatics and special effects into one unique performance. The show features 45 horses and 38 artists from around the world. It will be performed under a big top next to Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis. General admission tickets are $34.50 to $99.50.

Six Flags Opens
If you've been waiting all winter to ride The Boss or the Screamin' Eagle, your wait is over. Six Flags St. Louis is open weekends starting in April. Later this summer, you can also enjoy the fun at Hurricane Harbor.

The World Champion St. Louis Cardinals return to Busch Stadium for the 2012 season on April 13. The Cardinals' home opener is against the Chicago Cubs at 2:15 p.m.

Go! St. Louis Marathon & Fitness Weekend
You don't have to run the marathon to be part of the Go! St. Louis Marathon & Fitness Weekend. The event features activities for those of all different fitness levels. On Friday, there's a health and fitness expo at Chaifetz Arena. On Saturday, it's the Children's Fun Run, 5K Walk/Run and a Mature Mile in Forest Park. Then on Sunday, come out to cheer on the thousands of runners participating in the St. Louis Marathon.

SouthSide Early Childhood Center is a local organization dedicated to helping at-risk children and families. You can help too by attending SouthSide's 2012 Gala Dinner & Auction at the Chase Park Plaza. The evening features drinks, a gourmet dinner and entertainment from Jive & Wail Dueling Pianos. Tickets are $75 for young professionals (ages 21-35) and $125 for adults.

Kevin Costner and Dana Carvey are headlining this year's Bob Costas Benefit at the Fox Theatre. Money raised goes to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Tickets are $25 to $150.

Earth Day Celebrations
St. Louis celebrates Earth Day with a big festival in Forest Park. There's a full day of local music, live performances, workshops and eco-art activities for the kids. Admission to the festival is free. The Missouri Botanical Garden and the Butterfly House are also marking Earth Day with special events. The Botanical Garden will have a full day of "green" entertainment and exhibits. The Butterfly House is "Buggin' Out for Earth Day" with kid-friendly crafts and other activities.
