Children's Garden Opens
Your children can learn to appreciate the environment in a fun way at the Children's Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Kids can search for wildlife in a swamp or pretend to be a riverboat captain on the Mississippi River. Tickets to the Children's Garden are $3 for Garden members ages 3-12 and $5 for non-members. Adults and children 13 and older get in free.

Six Flags Opens
If you've been waiting all winter to ride The Boss or the Screamin' Eagle, your wait is over. Six Flags St. Louis is open weekends starting in April. Later this summer, you can also enjoy the fun at Hurricane Harbor.

Go! St. Louis Marathon & Fitness Weekend
You don't have to run the marathon to be part of the Go! St. Louis Marathon & Fitness Weekend. The event features activities for those of all different fitness levels. On Friday, there's a health and fitness expo at Chaifetz Arena. On Saturday, it's the Children's Fun Run, 5K Walk/Run and a Mature Mile in Forest Park. Then on Sunday, come out to cheer on the thousands of runners participating in the St. Louis Marathon.

The Art Fair at Queeny Park is your chance to see or buy unique creations from more than 130 artists from 20 states. The annual event is always one of the most popular art fairs in the St. Louis area. Admission is $5 a person.

SouthSide Gala Dinner & Auction
SouthSide Early Childhood Center is a local organization dedicated to helping at-risk children and families. You can help too by attending SouthSide's 2013 Gala Dinner & Auction at the Chase Park Plaza. The evening features drinks, a gourmet dinner and entertainment from the Galaxy Band. Tickets are $100 for young professionals (ages 21-35) and $150 for adults.

ZooQuest
ZooQuest is a trivia and scavenger hunt through the St. Louis Zoo. Teams of two to four people make their way around the zoo answering questions and hunting down information all in hopes being the ZooQuest champion. The cost to compete is $50 per team for the general public and $45 for zoo members. Team members must be at least 18 years old.

The Bob Costas Benefit
John Mellencamp and Brian Regan are headlining this year's Bob Costas Benefit at the Fox Theatre. Money raised goes to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Tickets are $35 to $95.

See what downtown living is all about at the Downtown Home Tour. At least ten unique homes will be on display from a small studio apartment to a three story penthouse. Tickets are $14 in advance and $20 the day of the tour.

Earth Day Celebrations
St. Louis celebrates Earth Day with a big festival in Forest Park. There's a full day of local music, live performances, workshops and eco-art activities for the kids. Admission to the festival is free. The Missouri Botanical Garden is also marking Earth Day with special events. The Botanical Garden will have a full day of "green" entertainment and exhibits.

Greater St. Louis Book Fair
Book lovers and bargain hunters will find something to love about the Greater St. Louis Book Fair. The annual event is the largest charity book sale in the Midwest. There are hundreds of thousands of books. Most are priced between $1 and $5.
