When stage six of the Tour of Missouri bike race rolls into St. Charles on Septmember 13, all eyes will be on the cyclists as they spring to the finish line along Riverside Drive. But St. Charles officials want you to know there's plenty to do in town before and after the race. Here's a list of the top events and activities planned for race day in St. Charles.
Health & Wellness Expo
St. Charles is hosting a free Health & Wellness Expo for race visitors. There will be live music from the St. Charles High School Orchestra and Marching Band, booths featuring healthcare related products, and of course plenty of food options. The Expo is also the chance to get a bike helmet fitting for you or your child to make sure you're staying safe when you ride.1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Big Wheel Classic
This event is strickly for the kids, but it promises to be nearly as much fun for spectators. Preschool children are invited to take part in a Big Wheel race. There are multiple heats for kids ages three to six. You know what they say: "Big Wheels today - Tour of Missouri tomorrow."1 p.m.

Mayoral Tandem Challenge
St. Charles Mayor Patti York is challenging other mayors in St. Charles County to a tandem bike race. Local elementary school students will ride along with the mayors as they race.2 p.m.

Bicycle Donations
If you have a used bicycle to donate, bring it to Frontier Park on race day. The Loyal Order of Squirrels (yes, squirrels) will refurbish any donated bikes and give them to Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Services for needy families in the area.1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Children's Activity Area
There's a lot for the kids to do while waiting for the cyclists to make their way to St. Charles. The Children's Activity Area features clowns, face-painting and inflatables. Kids can also meet Rascal, the mascot of the River City Rascals minor league baseball team.1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Meet St. Charles Police and Firefighters
St. Charles police officers, along with McGruff the Crime Dog, will be on hand to discuss safety issues and give demonstrations in their seat belt convincer. And St. Charles City firefighters will be offering tours of one of their fire trucks and giving kids the chance to meet their dog, Sparky.1p.m. - 5 p.m.

Closing Awards Ceremony
The top finishers of stage six will receive their awards at a special closing ceremony held on the Main Stage in Frontier Park. Everyone is invited to cheer on the cyclists during the ceremony.4:30 p.m.

Main Street Shops and Restaurants
Many of the restaurants and shops along Main Street and Frenchtown will have extended hours to welcome visitors on race day. Once the activites are over in Frontier Park, consider heading to the Trailhead Brewing Company, Lewis & Clarks or Little Hills Winery for a drink or a meal.Historic District
