Celebrate New Year's Eve in St. Louis! From parties to live music to family-oriented fun, the St. Louis area has something for everyone on New Year's Eve. Here's information on ten of the best ways to ring in the New Year.

1. Dr. Zhivegas at the Pageant

You can't beat the party at the Pageant on New Year's Eve with Dr. Zhivegas. The band will get you up and dancing with its fast paced, rock and roll take on disco. General admission tickets are $47.50 and include an open bar (draft beer and rail drinks), party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. This show is for those 21 and older only. 2. Party in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill

Blueberry Hill's famed Duck Room will be hopping on New Year's Eve. The evening will feature music from 4salebutnot4sale, The Royal Elite, Spark Treez and 40til5. Doors open at 9 p.m., and the show starts at 10. Tickets are $35 and include an open bar (draft & rail drinks), party favors and a champagne toast.

3. Kim Massie or The Alley Cat Review at Van Goghz

Van Goghz would be a great choice for New Year's Eve, even if it hadn't booked Kim Massie to perform. The classy and welcoming martini bar & bistro is the perfect setting for enjoying the company of good friends. But on New Year's, Van Goghz is offering a night that will make your hotel-party-going friends completely jealous. The night starts with Kim Massie, performing from 5:30 to 7:30. Then, stick around for a buffet dinner and a fun and flirty burlesque show by "The Alley Cat Revue." And, of course, there are great martinis and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets to Kim Massie are $29. Tickets to dinner and The Alley Cat Revue are $69. Reservations are recommended.

4. Cajun Celebration at Broadway Oyster Bar

The New Year's celebration at the Broadway Oyster Bar begins with Cajun food and ends with live music. Aaron Kamm and the One Drops will play reggae and blues from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, call 314-621-8811. The Broadway Oyster Bar is located at 736 South Broadway in downtown St. Louis.

5. Family Fun at First Night St. Louis

One of the biggest New Year's Eve celebrations in St. Louis is First Night in Grand Center. This family-friendly, alcohol free event draws nearly 15,000 people who enjoy an evening of singing, dancing and art. This year's theme is "Kaleidoscope." Visitors can walk through a colorful 24 foot long, life sized kaleidoscope. It all starts at 6 p.m., with an opening ceremony at the Main Stage on Washington near Grand Ave. The evening ends with fireworks at midnight.

6. First Night River Bend

The metro east has its own version of First Night in Godfrey, Illinois. First Night River Bend is held on the campus of Lewis & Clark Community College. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., with face painting, storytelling and other activities for children. There is also magic, dancing and music for kids and adults alike. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 on New Year's Eve. Children 5 and younger get in free.

7. New Year's with the King

Put on your blue suede shoes and party with "The King" this New Year's Eve. Elvis Presley (a.k.a. Steve Davis) will be ringing in the New Year with special performances at the Alton Holiday Inn. Tickets to the matinee show at 2 p.m., are $25. The evening show begins at 9 p.m. and costs $39 a person. The hotel restaurant, Franco's, will also be serving a prime rib buffet for $19.99. The Holiday Inn in Alton is located at 3800 Homer Adams Parkway.

8. St. Louis Symphony Concert

What will the St. Louis Symphony be playing at its annual New Year's Eve concert? You'll have to go to find out. The program for the evening is always a secret, but conductor David Robertson promises a memorable evening at Powell Hall. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $120.

9. Dinner and Live Music at Brandt's Cafe

Every week at Brandt's Cafe, you can see some of St. Louis' most popular musicians. Erin Bode, Kim Massie and Hugh "Peanuts" Whalum play there regularly. On New Year's Eve, you can enjoy the music of another local favorite, Javier Mendoza. Brandt's New Year's celebration also includes dinner specials and a toast at midnight. 10. New Year's Laughs at the Funny Bone

If you're looking to laugh on New Year's Eve, join comedian John Morgan at the Funny Bone. Morgan's known as the "Rajun Cajun" and has toured with Jerry Seinfeld. The Funny Bone is located at 614 Westport Plaza. For information on show times and ticket prices call 314-469-6692.
