Walking Tour of the Southampton Neighborhood

Stepping out of the Macklind Avenue Deli you’ll find we’re back where we started, with Francesca’s right across the street. Before getting into your car, hopefully with lots of unique purchases, take a minute to note a few of the other places to try during an evening out. Just south of Francesca’s on Macklind is Keith’s, a bar and grill popular for its pool tables and dart boards. In the other direction, next to Home Eco, is The Mack, a relatively new tavern rumored to be the dive bar of choice for some St. Louis Cardinal baseball players. And, strangely enough, the Mack hosts an open mic night for members of the St. Louis Writers Guild, every third Tuesday of the Month.

Hopefully you’ve found a few places that warrant a return trip. The neighborhood is booming, with young couples and new families moving in every day. New businesses will keep springing up to keep pace with SoHa’s growth and diversity, so be sure to come back often to explore the latest unique shop or restaurant.
