These publications and websites have the latest news of interest to the GLBT community in St. Louis, as well as plenty of links to forums and additional resources:- The Vital Voice: The Vital Voice has current news and feature articles of interest to the gay community in St. Louis as well as other Missouri and southern Illinois towns.
- PlayBackSTL: A free publication focusing on the arts and entertainment in St. Louis. The magazine is found in restaurants, bars and other shops around town, although much of the same information is available on its website.
- St. Louis Gay Guide: This site bills itself as the one-stop website network for the STL GLBT community and features current news and issues, information for visitors and links to other resources for St. Louis GLBT community.
GLBT Friendly Restaurants and Bars
St. Louis is adding new GLBT friendly bars and restaurants every year. Heres a list of some of the most popular places to grab a cocktail, a cup of coffee or a bite to eat:- Absolutli Goosed: As the name implies, this is one of the best places for martinis and cocktails in St. Louis. Check them out on Mondays when all martinis are just $5.
- Bad Dog Saloon: Really two bars in one the Bad Dog Saloon is located on the main floor and has a traditional pub look and feel. Upstairs, for a bit edgier atmosphere, there's a leather bar called The Attic. Both bars feature music, pool and darts.
- Clementine's: Located in the heart of Soulard, Clementines claims to be St. Louis' oldest gay bar. In addition to the main bar, theres a great patio and an adjoining restaurant called Oh, My Darlin Café.
- Mokabe's Coffee House: In the South Grand district, Mokabes is ideal for late night coffee or come in for its full vegan brunch on Sundays.
- The Coffee Cartel: The CWEs own Coffee Cartel has plenty of outdoor seating at the corner of Maryland and Euclid, which makes it great for people-watching. Inside theres free Wi-Fi, delicious desserts and of course, good coffee.
