There is so much to do in St. Louis in the summer and much of it is free. You can hear some great live music without spending any money. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to the north lawn of the Missouri History Museum for music, food and more. Concerts start at 6 p.m. and last for about two hours.
April 22 - May 27
Enjoy live music along historic Main Street in St. Charles. Free concerts are held the third Wednesday of the month from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Featured artists include Butch Wax & the Hollywoods and Dawn Weber.
May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20 & September 17
Free concerts on the second and fourth Fridays of the month at the outdoor plaza at Ferguson Citywalk.
May 23 - October 10
Free Friday night concerts at the Schnuck Family Plaza at the St. Louis Zoo. Concerts feature local and nationally known musicians like Groove Thang, GalaxyRed and Dirty Muggs.
May 23 - August 29 (No concert on June 20)
Outdoor concerts held each Wednesday night in the beautiful setting of the Missouri Botanical Garden. Musicians this year include Javier Mendoza and Old Salt Union. Garden admission is free after 5 p.m. The concerts start at 7:30 p.m.
June 4 - August 6
Bring your blanket or lawn chair to Ryan Hummert Memorial Park in Maplewood for free concerts on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Performers include One More Round and Spin the Bottle. The concerts begin at 6 p.m.
May 28, June 25, July 23, August 27 & September 24
A wide variety of musicians, including the Bob Kuban Band, Power Play and Mystic Voyage perform Sunday evening concerts at 6 p.m. in Carondelet Park in South St. Louis. (August concerts begin at 5:30 p.m.)
June 1 - August 24
The City of Chesterfield hosts free concerts on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., in Faust Park. Popular local musicians like Bob Kuban, Spectrum and Billy Peek are scheduled to perform.
June 3 - August 12
Free music from a variety of local artists on select Thursdays in Kirkwood. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m., at the Station Plaza across from Kirkwood City Hall. Performers this year include Erin Bode and the Soulard Blues Band.
May 22 - July 31
Enjoy free music along the banks of the Mississippi River in Grafton, Illinois. Concerts are Thursdays at 7 p.m., at Grove Memorial Park.
June 5 - August 7
