Hare in the Air Egg Hunt

The annual Hare in the Air Egg Hunt is true to its name. That's because the Easter Bunny arrives by helicopter. The popular event begins at 10 a.m., on the campus of Logan College of Chiropractic. The egg hunt is divided into three age groups, with special prizes for each group. There will also be balloon artists and a petting zoo. Admission is free.

Easter Egg-Citement

The biggest Easter egg hunt in the Metro East is at Eckert's Orchards in Belleville. Hunting for eggs isn't the only fun for kids. There are also baby chicks and bunnies, face painting, visits with the Easter Bunny and plenty of Easter treats. The cost is $10 per child.

Breakfast with the Bunny

The Easter Bunny will hop into the St. Louis Zoo to have breakfast with local children this month. The event also includes photos and treat bags for the kids, and free parking for parents. The cost is $22 for adults and $20 for children. Zoo members get a $2 discount. There are seatings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Advanced reservations are required.

Easter Egg-stravaganza

The cites of Maplewood and Richmond Heights are hosting a free egg hunt for children at the A.B. Green Athletic Complex located at Laclede Station Road and Dale Avenue. There will be hunting areas for children ages three and younger, four and five year olds, six and seven year olds and eight to ten year olds. There is also a special peanut free hunting area. In all, kids will have the chance to collect more than 5,000 eggs. The egg hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m.

Hunt for a Cure

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is hosting a huge egg hunt at Queeny Park from 11 a.m. to noon. Volunteers hide more than 60,000 eggs for kids to find. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 11 a.m., to greet everyone. Younger children are allowed to find eggs first, followed by older children. The cost to participate is $10 per family.

Godfrey Egg Hunt

Children ages ten and younger are invited to hunt for Easter eggs at Glazebrook Park in Godfrey, Illinois. The annual event also includes a corn cannon, cow train and a visit by the Easter Bunny. The fun begins at 2 p.m.

Egg-cellent Easter Egg Hunt

Six Flags is joining in the fun of the holiday with an egg hunt for children ages 10 and younger. Kids will have the chance to find eggs filled with candy before the park opens. The egg hunt is free with Six Flags admission, but you must get a special wristband to participate.

The St. Louis Zoo is hosting a different kind of egg hunt on Easter Sunday. Visitors can watch while the Zoo's animals hunt for eggs and enjoy special Easter treats. Visitors who buy a Safari pass, animal adoption or membership on Easter Sunday will also receive a bag of candy.

Magic House Egg Roll

The Magic House is following in the steps of the White House by hosting an Easter Egg Roll the Monday after Easter. Children 12 and younger can gather on the front lawn of the museum in Kirkwood to roll eggs with large spoons in a race to the finish line. There will also be egg decorating, story time and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The egg roll event is free with a paid admission of $9.50 per person.
