If you drive along Interstate 44 past Eureka during the holiday season, you can't miss seeing Santa's Magical Kingdom. The popular holiday light display in Jellystone Park has millions of Christmas lights and dozens of holiday scenes stretching over several miles.
Dates and Times:
Santa's Magical Kingdom opens every year the Friday before Thanksgiving and closes in early January. In 2012, Santa's Magical Kingdom is open from Friday, November 16 to Sunday, January 6. The display is open from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Santa's Magical Kingdom is open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
Train and Wagon Rides:
Visitors who want to see the lights in a different way can take a train or wagon ride through the display. Tickets for the train or wagon are $12 a person for groups of nine or less, and $10 a person for groups of ten or more. Children who are younger than two can ride for free if they sit on an adult's lap. Both train and wagon rides board at Kringle's General Store.
More Than Lights:
There's a lot more to see at Santa's Magical Kingdom than just lights. Kringle's General Store is filled with all kinds of gifts, toys and holiday decorations for anyone wanting to do a little shopping. Also, check out the Snack Shack for a quick bite to eat or cup of hot cocoa. And, kids can visit Santa and get their pictures taken at Santa's Workshop.
