For many people in St. Charles County, the holiday season means a visit to the Celebration of Lights in O'Fallon, Missouri. The drive-through Christmas light display at Fort Zumwalt Park is a top destination for residents and visitors alike.

Dates and Times:
Celebration of Lights opens every year the Friday after Thanksgiving and closes in late December. In 2012, Celebration of Lights is open from Friday, November 23 to Sunday, December 30. Monday nights are for train rides only, and the display is closed completely on Christmas Day. Celebration of Lights is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with extended hours until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Walk-Through Night:
Every year, there is a special walk-through night at the Celebration of Lights. In 2012, walk-through night is Tuesday, December 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. For $2 per person, visitors can walk among the Christmas lights and listen to holiday music. There are also food and gift booths, a visit from Santa and fireworks.
Getting There:
Celebration of Lights is located at Fort Zumwalt Park in O'Fallon, Missouri. To get there, take I-70 to the Highway K exit (217) and go south to the South Outer Road (Veterans Memorial Parkway). Go west on the South Outer Road to the park entrance.
From Highway 40/I-64, take the Highway K exit and go north to the South Outer Road. Go west on the South Outer Road to the park entrance.
