It's Easy to Recycle Your Christmas Tree

What to do with that dry, old Christmas tree? Recycle it, of course. St. Louis has three locations where residents can recycle their trees. You can drop trees off in Forest Park at the Lower Muny parking lot, in O'Fallon Park at West Florissant and Holly and in Carondelet Park at Holly Hills and Grand. Trees can be recycled at any of these locations until mid-January. The trees will be ground into mulch. In the spring, the city will offer the mulch free to residents to use in their gardens. You can also leave trees in alleys for bulk pickup, but don't put them in dumpsters.
