When you want to get away from all the stress of the holidays, consider spending a few hours at Steinberg Ice Rink in Forest Park. The outdoor ice rink is a popular winter destination for many families. The rink is open every day, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, until February 28, 2013.
Steinberg Rink has extended holiday hours from 10 a.m. to midnight from November 21-24, 2012, and again from December 21, 2012, to January 5, 2013. Skating fees are $6 for everyone. Skates are available to rent for $4. Admission is free for those who don't want to skate. After a spin around the ice, warm up with hot chocolate or a casual meal at the Snowflake Cafe.
