The 2010 Fountainhead Rendevouz was the best last and would love to see it happen again!

As a docent at the St. Louis Zoo, I know I am somewhat predudice, but what is the Festival of Nations? Never heard of it.

The St. Louis zoo always has visitors – rain, snow, heat, cold…What a wonderful place to expose children and adults to animals from around the world. Animals who are endangered, animals who may, in the near future, be extinct. The St. Louis Zoo is not only free, it is a world renowned institution working with many countries to conserve and protect animals around the world and at home. A vote for our zoo is a vote for all of these magnificient creatures.

The St. Louis Zoo is by far the best thing to happen to St. Louis . It is one of the most exciting free attractions in the U.S. I have attended the zoo many times to even count and I am overwhelmed by the excitement and fun filled adventures the zoo brings each and every year. As soon as it gets better weather………..I AM THERE. Thanks to all the zoo staff who are superb in what they do to bring out the kid in all of us.

Jim, thank you for being a docent at the zoo. The zoo is a wonderful local treasure. The Festival of Nations is too — just in a very different way. FoN annually draws 140,000+ visitors from 100+ zip codes to Tower Grove Park to celebrate our community’s many cultural heritages. Once someone attends, they are drawn back year after years. Dance and music on many stages, international crafts and gifts AND tasty too with 50 food booths from around the world! Admission is free and it is family-friendly in a big way. Stop by and enjoy it this year on August 27 or 28 and check it out at http://www.stlfestivalofnations.org. And I’ll be stopping by the zoo this summer too!

The Zoo *is* the best on the list. The Science Center is struggling right now, so it shouldn’t even be considered, IMHO.

Can’t believe the Art Museum is not included, they have free Fridays for the major exhibits, and the work that is there all the time is fantastic!
