There are so many Halloween events in St. Louis, it's hard to know where to start. Each year, my wife and I try to check out something new. Last weekend, we went to the Halloween celebration at Grant's Farm with our two boys. If you're looking for a nice family event, this is a good one.
Apparently, a lot of people like going to Grant's Farm for Halloween because it was packed! Though, I'm sure the beautiful weather also had something to do with the crowd size. After waiting in a long, but quick-moving line, we took a tram ride in the dark to the center of the park. There were ghosts, goblins and other decorations lighting the way (but nothing too scary for the kids.) Inside the park, there's music, food, carousel rides and pumpkin decorating, but no trick-or-treating.
UPDATE: In 2013, Grant's Farm Halloween is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from October 4-26, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. There is a $20 parking charge per car, or $5 per person for walk-ins. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
