By February 17, 2010

Follow me on:

St. Louis is near the top of a new national list. Men's Health Magazine ranked America's Drunkest Cities for its March issue and St. Louis comes in at number six. The magazine looked at several factors to determine its rankings including DUI arrests, DUI deaths, deaths from liver disease and rates of binge drinking.

The top five drunkest cities, according to the magazine, are: Fresno, CA, Reno, NV, Billings, MT, Riverside, CA, and Austin, TX.

(1) Curious about the stats says:

I’m always interested in the analysis behind these studies. It makes a big difference statistically if they analyze only St. Louis City vs. the entire metro area. Crime statistics for St. Louis frequently get skewed this way. Do you know what the data set was for the Men’s Health list?
