St. Louis Steps Up to Help Homeless Animals

Wednesday June 10, 2009

Help is on the way for homeless dogs and cats in the St. Louis area. The St. Louis PetLovers Coalition is a new group dedicated to finding good homes for thousands of animals, increasing spay and neuter rates and promoting responsible pet ownership. There are 19 local animal organizations in the coalition including the Animal Protective Association, Stray Rescue and the Humane Society of Missouri.

You can also help homeless animals by becoming a volunteer at a local shelter. Many of the organizations in the coaltion have short term and ongoing volunteer opportunities. For more information, check out the St. Louis PetLovers Coalition website.
