Whitaker Music Festival Brings Free Concerts to the Missouri Botanical Garden

Tuesday May 26, 2009

One of the things I like most about St. Louis is all of the free attractions and free events during the summer. One of the best is the annual Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Some of the area's most popular musicians will be performing at the Garden every Wednesday evening from June 3 through August 5.

Admission to the Garden is free after 5 p.m. and the concerts start at 7:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to bring their own picnic baskets or coolers. Sandwiches, hot dogs, chips and drinks are also available for purchase. The Children's Garden is also open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings with free admission after 5 p.m.
