Macklind Days Festival Features the Best of the Southampton Neighborhood
My wife and I have lived in the Southampton neighborhood in south St. Louis for almost nine years. We really like the vibe and the people in the neighborhood. Over the last couple of years, new restaurants and shops have been opening along Macklind Avenue. We frequently walk to the Macklind Avenue Deli and Murdoch Perk coffee shop for lunch or drinks. This weekend, the businesses in the neighborhood are coming together for the Macklind Days Festival. It's a family event with live music, arts & crafts, a washers tournament, pie contest and plenty of food and drink.
The Macklind Days Festival is Saturday, May 16, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. along Macklind Avenue between Devonshire and Nottingham. If you live in Southampton, it's a great chance to spend time with your neighbors. If you've never been before, stop by and see what the neighborhood has to offer.
