Moonrise Hotel Opens in the Delmar Loop

Thursday April 23, 2009

The new Moonrise Hotel in the Delmar Loop makes me want to take a vacation in my own town. It would be a great place for a relaxing weekend without the kids. I imagine my wife and I sleeping late in one of the Walk of Fame Suites, eating dinner at Eclipse, then shopping at Vintage Vinyl and other unique stores in the Loop.

The Moonrise is the latest venture from Joe Edwards which means it's sure to be a hit even in this rough economy. Edwards is also the man behind many other popular St. Louis attractions like Blueberry Hill, The Pageant and Pin-Up Bowl. He certainly seems to know how to run a successful business in this town. I wish him all the best and hope the Moonrise Hotel becomes another St. Louis classic.
