Recycle Your Christmas Tree

Sunday January 4, 2009

It's time to pack away the decorations and say goodbye to the Christmas tree. St. Louis has three locations in the city where you can recycle your Christmas tree. You can drop trees off in Forest Park at the Lower Muny parking lot, in O'Fallon Park at West Florissant and Holly and in Carondelet Park at Holly Hills and Grand. Trees can be recycled at any of these locations until January 16. The trees will be ground into mulch. In the spring, the city will offer the mulch free to residents to use in their gardens. You can also leave trees in alleys for bulk pickup, but don't put them in dumpsters.
