Hermann's Kristkindl Markt Offers a Different Kind of Holiday Shopping

Monday December 1, 2008

I've mentioned before I'm really not into holiday shopping at crowded malls and big box retailers. I do like the festive atmosphere of the Kristkindl Markt in Hermann. Each year, Stone Hill Winery hosts a traditional German Christmas market with vendors selling handmade candles, pottery, jewelry and more. You can also try gourmet Christmas cookies, stollens and a bottle or two of Stone Hill's best wine. The Kristkindl Markt is open Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

For more on one of Missouri's best wineries, ready my review of Stone Hill Winery.
