Movies and More at the St. Louis International Film Festival

Monday November 10, 2008

We can't all jet off to Cannes, Venice or Toronto, but most of us can make the trip to the Tivoli, Plaza Frontenac, Webster University or the St. Louis Art Museum. Starting this week, those venues will be hosting the 17th Annual St. Louis International Film Festival. During the 11 day festival you can see 200 feature films, shorts and documentaries. Tickets are $10 for the general public or $8 for students and members of Cinema St. Louis. There are also many free events like a screening of shorts from Pixar and a filmmaking seminar for those wanting to make movies of their own.

David,

I’m not sure if you’ll get a chance to see a lot of the films. Local film director Chris Lawing has a music video screening of “Movie of Your Life” on Friday, Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. at the Tivoli 3. I’d love for you to meet Chris and check out the silver screen debut for Spencer Day.
