Halloween Ghost Hunting in Alton, Illinois

Wednesday October 15, 2008

Popular St. Louis haunted houses like the Darkness and Silo X can offer quite a scare, but if you want to hunt for real ghosts, head over to Alton, Illinois. Alton is considered by many ghost hunters to be one of the most haunted small towns in the country. This month you can take a Haunted History Tour of some of the scariest places in Alton, including the Joesting House where a murderous nanny went on a rampage and the Grandview Cemetery. Tours are on Friday and Saturday evenings. Ticket prices start at $25 a person.
