Rare Tiger Cubs Make Their Debut at the St. Louis Zoo

They may be small, but five rare Amur tiger cubs are sure to draw big crowds at the St. Louis Zoo. The cubs were born in April, but just made their public debut last week. Visitors can see them, and their mother Kalista, every day (weather permitting) from 10 a.m. to noon at Big Cat Country.
The birth of the five cubs is a great success for the Zoo. Amur tigers are a critically endangered species in the wild. The St. Louis Zoo and other zoos across the country are part of a program called the Tiger Species Survival Plan which works to maintain a healthy population of endangered tigers. The next time you're at the Zoo, I suggest stopping by to see these beautiful animals. For other ideas on how to spend your time at the Zoo, read my Top Ten St. Louis Zoo article.
