Join the Restaurant of the Month Club

If you like dining out and meeting new people, consider joining the Restaurant of the Month Club. The club’s mission is simple: get together once a month and go somewhere new for dinner. Not only does the club break people out of their routines (cycling between the same four or five restaurants each time they go out), but it also encourages people to try places a bit out of their comfort zone. Likewise, the club’s a great way to step outside your normal social circle.
The club meets on either the third or fourth Monday or Tuesday of each month, depending on members’ schedules and restaurant hours. Any locally owned (non-chain) restaurant in St. Louis City or St. Louis County is fair game, and choices vary month-to-month to hit a broad range of casual, fancy, ethnic and traditional establishments. Members simply RSVP via a monthly evite whether or not they plan to attend. There are no dues or other obligations for membership. Just show up, have a great dinner and pay your portion of the bill. Of course, conversation with your fellow diners is highly encouraged!
If this sounds like fun, email the club’s organizer, Amy Rickles, at arickles@sbcglobal.net. She’ll answer any questions, and if you like, add your name to her invitation roster.
Plus, starting this month, club members will post their reviews of the last restaurant they visited on this site's forum. Read their reviews (or add comments of your own) in the Restaurant of the Month Club Reviews folder.
