St. Louis Science Center Among Nation’s Most Visited Museums

For years St. Louisans have known the Science Center is a great museum and now the rest of the country knows it too. The Science Center was recently named one of the Top 25 Most Visited Museums by Forbes Traveler. The list is a "who's who" of museums, and includes the Smithsonian, the National Gallery of Art and Chicago’s Field Museum.

The Science Center is the only museum in Missouri to make the list, which is based on attendance numbers from 2006. Last year, more than 1.2 million people visited the Science Center. It’s really no surprise the museum is so popular. It’s filled with exhibits for children of all ages and just like many of St. Louis’ other top attractions, it’s free! So, if you haven’t been to the Science Center in a while, now’s a great time to make another visit and remember what all the fuss is about.
