St. Louis is a great place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We've got two parades, plus plenty of Irish pubs and restaurants offering live music, Irish food and more. Here are some of the celebrations I recommend:
Tigin Irish Pub - On March 13, Tigin is hosting a Premier Tent Party before, during and after the Downtown Parade. Live music starts at noon and features Jason Gordo, Brendan Loughrey and The Rescue. Then on March 17, the celebration begins at 7 a.m., with Kegs and Eggs, followed by a full day of Irish food, beer and music. Tigin is located at 333 Washington Avenue in Downtown St. Louis.
McGurk's Irish Pub - You can always hear live Irish music at McGurk's, but it's still a great place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. This year on March 17, there's music from Eugene Quinn, Colm Keane, Ray Dempsey, Kevin Buckley and Ian Walsh. McGurk's is located at 1200 Russell Boulevard in Soulard.

It's time to get out your favorite green shirt. The big St. Patrick's Day celebration in Downtown St. Louis will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010. There's a full day of events including a five mile run, parade and Irish village.
St. Patrick's Day Run - The day begins with a five mile run through Downtown and Midtown. The race starts and ends on Broadway between Walnut and Clark Streets. Registration is available online, or you can register starting at 7:30 a.m., the day of the race.
St. Patrick's Day Parade - The annual Downtown Parade begins at noon at 18th and Market Streets. Floats, marching bands and giant balloons will make their way down Market Street to Broadway. More than 200,000 people are expected to turn out to watch the parade, making it one of the largest events in Downtown St. Louis this year.

Irish Village - Kiener Plaza will be turned into an Irish Village for the day with food, drinks, Irish gifts and live music. The Irish Village opens at 9 a.m.
And if all this weren't enough, don't forget the Dogtown Parade on March 17.
